The NAIA’s 77th Annual Business Meeting
The NAIA’s 77th annual business meeting was headlined by a robust slate of proposed legislative amendments. In total, 22 legislative proposals were brought to the floor, and 20 amendments were approved. Highlights include the addition of football practice regulations designed to protect student health and safety, revised eligibility requirements for ACT/SAT scores for incoming freshmen, exceptions to financial aid rules to allow students to receive occasional meals from institutional representatives and to receive assistance when natural disasters or emergencies have occurred, the addition of Athletic Compliance Administrators into the NAIA governance structure, and a handful of additional proposals.
