Basketball Divisions in the NAIA
Over the past 9 months a group of NAIA membership representatives has been conducting a study to evaluate the the current NAIA basketball structure as well as the possibility of a single division.The study was prompted by various factors, including shrinking sponsoring institutions participating in Division I in recent years, increased postseason access rates in relation to other NAIA sports, several DI conferences considering a shift to NAIA DII, and the narrowing gap in actual financial aid being distributed by institutions in each division.
